SWIFT DEX

Inspiration

The idea of smart contracts on a cheap, fast, and safe distributed Ledger is Impressive, Porting popular EVM projects would be a great idea is what I thought.

What it does

Swift Dex: is a Decentralized Exchange built on Hedera Hashgraph, it provides a medium for users to exchange tokens swiftly without the need of a third party. Swift Dex also brings Yield farm to the hedera ecosystem. This enables users to make passive profits, by depositing money into liquidity pools users earn 0.03% of every trade made on swift dex. Liquidity Providers(or Yield Farmers are users who deposit assets into the liquidity pool to facilitate swift transactions.) can sell their share of the liquidity pool to other users to make profits.

How we built it

Swift Dex is made up of many parts, the contracts(the brains of the DEX) are built using solidity, interaction with the contracts is done with stratojs, the front end is done using Reactjs and other functionalities that make up swift dex is done using axios, hashgraphjs SDK.

Challenges we ran into

Well... Deciding on the right SDK for contract interaction was one of my major issues, I ended up building the complete functionality with one SDK just to switch the next week. Another challenge was figuring out where I had errors with my contract logic, the logic still isn't perfect but it gets the job done(most of the time😉).

Accomplishments that we're proud of

I dove into the world of web3 Oct 2021 and the world of solidity Feb 2021, being able to build something like this from scratch is a huge achievement and I am proud of myself 😊.

What we learned

This process has not been an easy one but it was worth it, I learned so many new things about the importance of security and how Hedera hashgraph awesomely tackles such issues.

What's next for SWIFT DEX

Swift DEX is still far from ideal and it is currently undergoing improvements, As a branch of Mint Engine Swift DEX will receive periodic updates alongside other mint engine services. Mint Engine is a comprehensive suite of web3 instruments spread across an ecosystem of distributed ledgers. Mint Engine Aims to create a low barrier entry for the world users into the world of Web3, Mint Engine will provide access to DeFi and Hedera core Services all in an organized UI and Swift Dex is just the begining
