Inspiration Ice cream is my guilty pleasure, I wanted to find a solution to save time commuting to a particular ice cream shop and know their real time inventory before making the commute.

What it does

It is a prototype to show the real time inventory for ice cream shops.

How we built it

We used HTML, CSS, Javascript for front-end features. Node.js, Express, Django, Python for back-end features.

Challenges we ran into

Some of the challenges we ran into was:

  1. Failing to push some refs onto heroku https://stackoverflow.com/questions/9794413/failed-to-push-some-refs-to-githeroku-com
  2. Trying to see if we needed to install other features to the web app to deploy https://stackoverflow.com/questions/46854451/pip-install-r-requirements-txt-errno-2-no-such-file-or-directory-requiremen
  3. Trying to keep the MVP aka minumum viable product in mind

Accomplishments that we're proud of

  1. Proud of winning crowd fave amongst Join Pathlight
  2. Proud of making an idea come to life
  3. Proud of understanding Github more.
  4. I didn't know how valuable it was to have this kind of experience prior to working with my hackathon team.

What we learned

1.We learned how to work on a team

  1. Work with other code bases
  2. Github forking, merge, pull request

What's next for Sweet Treats

We're going to continuosly refine the web app and give it it's own domain. Perhaps see if we can use an API with Google Maps.
