Inspiration

Amidst necessary global closures of food outlets and borders, a lot of individuals were put into sudden sole responsibility of meeting their dietary needs whilst having the food supply chain disrupted for what was an indefinite amount of time.

What it does

This solution aims ultimately to increase the level of food security in countries while promoting sustainable use of such food, especially for small island developing states where the food import bill is very high.

Challenges we ran into

While formulating this idea much consideration was taken in terms of how readily it could be adopted by candid participants and stakeholders as well as choosing a suitable user-friendly interface and platform.
