Inspiration

We were inspired by the tv show, "Wipeout," and we wanted to recreate one of the minigames called sweeper.

What it does

You control the character to jump over the sweeper bar and rack up points for every successful jump.

How we built it

We used Unreal Engine 5 to build and code our game. We used Blockbench for the sweeper bar model. We used Piskel to create the character.

Challenges we ran into

We had trouble setting up the logic for the scoring system in for each jump, however we managed to pull through.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud of the design of the character and setting up the logic for the sweeper bar.

What we learned

As our first time hacking, we've learned the time constraint it takes to produce a project.

What's next for Sweeper

We want to implement additional hazards to give a better challenge, as well as capping the maximum spin speed of the sweeper bar to compensate for the additional hazards.
