Inspiration

We have created an application version of the good old Swear Jar. A great way for the user to keep track of their swearing habits.

What it does

This flutter Application created through Android Studios uses the Speech_to_text flutter plugin. This library is a great tool to convert audio recorded to text using specific speech recognition ability.

Challenges we ran into

The target cases for the speech_to_text plugin are commands and short phases, however, we managed to get it to record continuous spoken conversations.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud for being able to modify the original functionality of our speech_to_text plugin to meet our requirements.

What we learned

We learned to develop a flutter application across multiple platforms.

What's next for swear.jar

To improve speech recognition to be more accurate and consistent.
