Inspiration

Most of us, even after using the same text editor for a long time are not able to learn or master the shortcuts, which could drastically improve our coding speed. As a result, we thought of creating an app which could help you do that.

What it does

Our simple and fast design allows you to browse through the shortcuts quickly, because you do not always know the correct keywords to search on Google, but not with Swatos.

How we built it

We have employed Kivy 2.0 framework to build the app. It is hence, easy to convert to Android, however, we believe having Swatos just by your side or at an *Alt + Tab * _ Oops, another shortcut? Thanks to Swatos I know it ;) _ will make the learning process faster.

Challenges we ran into

One of the major challenges was finding the shortcuts for the most common editors, as they are available in PDFs or on webpages. Compiling them and converting them into CSVs was a major obstacle, which we were able to cross.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Swatos is super duper fast and simple to learn!

What's next for Swatos

We will be sorting the shortcuts from the most used ones across the Swatos users so that finding shortcuts becomes even more faster. We also plan on adding support for some other TextEditors.
