🧠 About the Project – SwasthyaAI
SwasthyaAI is a one-stop wellness platform built to personalize student health journeys by combining AI-powered features for both physical and mental well-being.
💡 Inspiration
In today’s fast-paced world, students and young adults often put their health on the back burner. Whether it's due to academic stress, poor diet, mental burnout, or lack of time, most existing health tools fail to truly resonate with the younger generation.
We observed that while there are many apps and platforms for wellness, they're usually scattered—one for diet, another for mood tracking, a different one for medical analysis, and so on. This fragmentation makes it hard to stay consistent or even get started.
What truly inspired us was the idea of creating a single space where students could take care of both their body and mind, without needing 5 different apps.
The younger generation is also more tech-savvy and open to using AI-powered tools to improve productivity and lifestyle. However, they rarely find platforms that bring these AI tools together in a meaningful, easy-to-use way.
We wanted to bridge this gap—build a unified, intelligent wellness companion that feels modern, personalized, and relevant to student life. That’s how SwasthyaAI was born: a tool made by students, for students—powered by AI, backed by smart tools, and focused on real health outcomes.
🛠️ What We Built
We built SwasthyaAI as a modular wellness hub featuring:
- WiseBites – Personalized Indian diet plans based on health conditions.
- MoodFM – Mood tracker and music therapy with journaling and affirmations.
- VitalCart – Grocery suggestions generated from medical input.
- Smart Health Log (WhatsApp) – Health journaling via chat (Twilio-powered).
- BMI Calculator – Fast body mass analysis and suggestions.
Each of these tools is integrated smartly using APIs and AI models (like Gemini), offering a seamless wellness experience.
📚 What We Learned
- How to use AI (Gemini) for generating personalized outputs like diets and reflections.
- Integrating multiple APIs like Spotify, Twilio, and WhatsApp.
- Using automation tools like n8n to create low-code health workflows.
- Designing intuitive and student-friendly UIs using React and Tailwind CSS.
🧩 Challenges We Faced
- Combining multiple independent tools and workflows into a single, unified UX.
- Ensuring data relevance across different modules (e.g., syncing mood logs with suggestions).
- Dealing with API limitations like WhatsApp Business verification and Spotify's rate limits.
- Making the system modular enough to scale or plug in future health tools.
🚀 What's Next for SwasthyaAI
- 🔄 Full deployment of the WhatsApp Health Journal: We aim to automate and host the entire journaling experience using n8n and Twilio for seamless daily use.
- 😊 Facial Emotion Recognition for MoodFM: We plan to integrate emotion detection via webcam to make mood tracking more intuitive and passive.
- 🧩 Adding more modular tools: Including hydration reminders, habit builders, and real-time chat-based therapy suggestions.
- 📲 Mobile-first redesign: Making the platform more accessible as a Progressive Web App (PWA) for smartphones.
- 🌐 User authentication & data sync: To securely save progress, offer continuity, and personalize experience across devices.
We see SwasthyaAI not just as a hackathon project, but as the start of a real wellness companion built by students—for students.
