Inspiration 💡
An average American spends about $300 a year on health & fitness. The annual expenditure on gym memberships is approximately $35 billion in the United States alone. These shocking statistics made us realize that in today's world, fitness comes at a cost. This inspired us to build Swasthya for underprivileged and differently-abled people to make fitness safe, affordable and accessible for everyone!
What it does 🤔
- Provides subscriptions to gyms in underprivileged communities that are willing to fulfill their CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) by providing free gym access to people who fall below the low-income threshold ($52,200) and recognizes them as 'Swasthya Gyms'
- Our real-time map service allows you to find the nearest Swasthya Gyms around you.
- Provide children in schools within underprivileged communities with community-based fitness programs.
- A Personal Trainer Bot that customizes a workout plan according to your needs and capabilities.
- The Swasthya Physiotherapy Studio: A resource center for various kinds of therapy for people suffering from neurodegenerative diseases such as Cerebral Palsy. We built this as a collaboration with our previous venture: EleaCP
Targeted Track : Health & Fitness Track High School Track
How we built it ⚙️
We built the website using HTML, CSS an JavaScript. We built the Personal Trainer Bot using Voice API.
What's next for Swasthya🚀
We plan on taking Swasthya to a national level within our respective countries and approach as many gyms and fitness facilities as possible. We also plan on increasing our Swasthya Physiotherapy Centre database to accommodate people suffering from various kinds of motor diseases. We plan on marketing this service to as many people as possible using social media campaigns.
