Inspiration
Complex modern challenges—from market research to multi-step data engineering—require specialized AI capabilities working in unison. Inspired by swarm intelligence and multi-agent coordination, we built SwarmFlow to enable autonomous AI agents to collaborate dynamically on complex tasks.
What it does
SwarmFlow functions as a decentralized multi-agent orchestration ecosystem:
- Task Decomposition: Breaks down large user prompts into discrete sub-tasks using NLP logic.
- Swarm Execution: Assigns sub-tasks to specialized AI agents operating in parallel.
- Consensus & Aggregation: Synthesizes multi-agent outputs into a unified, high-accuracy execution result.
- Interactive Dashboard: Tracks real-time agent communications, task status, and execution logs.
How we built it
- Backend Core: Developed with Python and Flask for API routing and agent communication orchestration.
- NLP & Logic: Built using spaCy and Scikit-learn for intent classification and sub-task routing.
- Frontend: Interactive dashboard created using HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.
- Quality Assurance: Version-controlled with Git/GitHub and tested via pytest suites.
Challenges we faced
- Agent Synchronization: Managing execution race conditions when multiple agents process dependencies simultaneously.
- Output Standardization: Merging disparate responses from different agent models into a coherent output stream.
What we learned
- Multi-agent architecture design patterns and communication protocols.
- Strategies for optimizing swarm-based problem solving for startup MVPs.
