We built robots which traverse an area, collect data about the surroundings, then merge the data to create one digital map of the area. The robots traverse the area with our own algorithm to map the area efficiently as both robots don't have to map the same area. Once the entire area is scanned, the digital map is visualized and generated in the Oculus Rift. We developed a way to power the Oculus Rift from a Raspberry Pi, rather than an outlet, which allows the device to be mobile and the user is not restricted.
