Inspiration

In my summer holidays I always used to wonder how I was going to spend my holidays, what new things am I going to learn but I didn't had anyone to teach me what I wanted. And I really wished there was someone who could teach me what I wanted to ,everytime . But a human can not know all the skills (which is obvious XD). So why not make an app or a website where people can learn a new skill not in exchange of money but a skill instead. They can exchange their skills and don't even have to spend money which will be useful for students too

What it does

This is a platform where people can exchange their skills. If a person knows how to do embroidery and wants to learn kannada (a language) and a another person who wants to learn embroidery and knowskannada, exchange their skills with each other

How we built it

We built it using react js and firebase . We had many discussions on how our website will look like , what color it is going to be and how it will work and many things and divided works among us.

Challenges we ran into

This is our first website where we used react so obviously we had many errors since we were new to react but with time we learnt how it works and are able to solve to errors. We also faced challenges in git . And now we are familiar with GitHub too.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Firstly we are so happy that we made our website look exactly the way we planned it will look like (kinda) and also added extra features like messaging part which makes us feel proud :).

What we learned

We learnt react js and firebase and also a lot about GitHub. We worked together so we also learnt how team work works .

What's next for SWAP'em

We will add more functionality to SWAP'em so that people can see each other in our app itself and many more functionality and make this useful for users
