Inspiration

We wanted to find meme worthy cat photos on Reddit without having to go through dozens of posts.

What it does

Search for certain images on a specified subreddit and saves them to a file on your computer.

How we built it

Built with python, Google Cloud Vision API, and Reddit API on Visual Studio Code.

Challenges we ran into

Tried to make a website with React to make a user interface, but didn't have enough time to implement it. Also, figuring out how to implement the google API was very time consuming, but rewarding.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

The implementation of the google cloud vision API and the subreddit search.

What we learned

Learned how to implement and use APIs'.

What's next for Swampy_Saves

Adding a user interface website that can take in user input and give the file with the saved photos to the user.
