Inspiration

Lack of meaningful machine learning technology in waste management.

Identifies waste materials with a percent confidence.

Throwing images as strings from the front-end to the back-end and vice versa.

Hours of learning from our data set.

What we learned

Even with a fully functional API already built, utilizing machine learning can be a challenge.

What's next for Swamp Trash

Identifying all sorts of items that would be more helpful to homeless shelters (eg. categorizing donation items).
