Swamp Elite Retreat Resources

Inspiration

Our journey to create the Swamp Elite Retreat Resource Finder began with a profound understanding of our nation's military families. As a 501(c)3 charity rooted in the peaceful Louisiana, we daily witness the unwavering strength and unique sacrifices of active service members, veterans, and their loved ones. We saw incredible individuals and families navigating complex transitions, emotional tolls, and diverse needs, often overwhelmed by the sheer volume of available support – or the difficulty in finding it.

We felt a deep call to action: to bridge this gap. We dreamed of a compassionate, intuitive tool that could cut through the noise, instantly connecting a spouse seeking career guidance, a child looking for coping strategies, or a veteran needing wellness support, to the exact resources they needed. This project isn't just code; it's our commitment to ensuring these remarkable stars, our military families, have every opportunity to shine brightly and thrive at home with renewed purpose and passion.

What it does

The Swamp Elite Retreat Resource Finder acts as a personalized digital guide, empowering every member of the military family to discover the specific support they need, right when they need it.

Users simply interact with a friendly interface to: Identify their role: Are they an active service member, a veteran, a spouse, a child (with specific age ranges), a parent, a sibling, or a friend? Input keywords: Searching for "PTSD," "jobs," "housing," "fun activities," or "counseling."

With these simple selections, the app instantly filters a comprehensive database of resources, presenting only the most relevant options. Each result includes a clear name, a concise description, and a direct link, simplifying what was once an overwhelming search. It brings targeted emotional, physical, spiritual, and economic support directly to their fingertips, whether they're on a base, in transition, or settled in their community.

How we built it

I built using bolt.new, tavus.ai, entri, and very detailed prompts. I worked perfectly.

Challenges we ran into

Our internet connection give us a problem at first. We corrected the problem and everything was great. The YouTube videos and discord group helped us to answer any question we had as the website was being created.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud of all of the resources that bolt.new found for us to include on our website. We liked the way we could purchased a domain and it connected to your website easily.

What we learned

What's next for Swamp Elite Retreat Resources

We are launching our new website on all of our social media platforms and helping other non-profits with their website improvements with no-code resources like bolt.new.
