Inspiration

The majority of people are confused with the remaining ingredients and eventually will end up as garbage.

What it does

Swafoody will help people to generate recipes based on the remaining ingredients to reduce food waste. So people just snap pictures of remaining objects and then voila! Recommend recipe will show up on phone.

How we built it

With aid of Artificial Intelligence, we use Image recognition to define objects, and eventually, the output will be a recipe.

Challenges we ran into

Datasets are our biggest challenging issues to get more accuracy and recognize many ingredients we need a lot of datasets. To overcome those we need time and budget.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We’ve found a way to crack the problem of food waste with technology.

What we learned

We learn a lot that food waste is a really serious problem because food waste costs billions of dollars in revenue and the important thing it contributes to global warming and climate change. So we need to tackle this problem and more care about the environment.

What's next for Swafoody

First, we will be increasing accuracy to get better results for recipes because user satisfaction is important. Improving new feature as advanced filter diet and nutritionist
