Security and surveillance is one of the biggest growth areas in the ever-expanding UAV sectors of applications. While a relatively recent addition to enterprise toolkits in many industries, the use of drones to provide aerial assessments of activities on the ground is actually a return to form for the technology, which has seen some of its most ambitious development in many sectors. In surveillance the UAV is used to capture still images and videos to gather information of a particular area and specific targets. Drones used for surveillance are typically quadcopters or hexacopters having complex design and mechanism, which results into less flight time and increase in the weight due to complexity. So our idea is to build a bicopter having more efficient and lighter mechanism approximately >30 minutes of flight time and weighing in around 1 kilogram.
