We created an app where neighbors/communities can be more active in sustainability. You can see a list of Nearby Places where you can fin you closest electric car charger, reusable water refill or places where you can drop off your compost or unwanted clothes to be recycled. In Events section you can participate in local beach/street cleaning or you can create and host event yourself. You will be accumulating point for being proactive in the community which will allow you to share that accomplishment with your friends on social media if you wish.
We have built it using Javascript, Express, Sequelize, React and Redux.
We ran into a few challenges connecting to the server and connecting the backend to the frontend.
We are proud of how we kept pushing and stayed up all night to get as close as we could to accomplish things.
We learned a lot about how to handle different error messages.
We are excited to continue working on this app and complete all the features and more.
