Inspiration
As our world gets increasingly environmentally conscious, people start to put more attention to making their lifestyle more sustainable.
What it does
Scan items and receive a sustainability score based on its material, weight, etc.
How we built it
We used React to build our front-end and Google Cloud API to get our information.
Challenges we ran into
It was a little difficult trying to find an API that we could use to get from picture to the necessary information about the item in question.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
This was our group's first hackathon, so we're proud of having something finished by the end of it.
What we learned
We learned the basics of front-end and how to use an API.
What's next for Sustainalyzer
We need to come up with a more robust method to get from picture to sustainability score.
