Inspiration

I was inspired for this project when I was fixing my old laptop. When I looked into buying a replacement display, to my shock it costed almost as much as the device itself. When I researched deeper I found that many manufacturers didn't have replacement parts. I decided to fix this.

What it does

This is a online ecommerce platform that can evaluate your device and then help you sell it thus reducing e-waste and saving money

How we built it

I used React-Native expo to create the frontend and Firebase in the backend. I also used the OpenAI API for the device evaluation and the googlemaps api for location based services.

Challenges we ran into

This was my first time using firebase so I ran into a lot of problems.

Also my library for navigation(react-native-curved-bottom-bar) had not very good documentation.
