Inspiration
Sustainable Swap is inspired by the fact that college students cannot always afford purchasing fast fashion.
What it does
Our website provides a platform for students to rent trendy clothes for cheap prices.
How we built it
We used HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to build the frontend, Python to build the backend, and SQL to manage the database.
Challenges we ran into
Since we are relatively new to a lot of these technologies, we encountered challenges with some of the concepts in our code initially. We were able to debug our code after thorough research.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud that we were able to create a website that contains the minimum viable product for our idea.
What we learned
We learned that becoming good at coding requires consistent practice and learning by doing is a very effective way of learning to code.
What's next for Sustainable Swap
We hope to be able to implement a feature in the donation tab that allows users to add unwanted clothing to our inventory. We also hope to implement a search engine that filters clothing for what users desire.
