Sustainable Recipes (Suscipe)

Inspiration

We wanted to tackle the challenge of left-over ingredients.

What it does

We want people to have access to a wide selection of recipes when they are not sure what to do with them

How we built it

We used HTML, CSS and JS to create the front-end. Our database is using a local json file that

Being able to parse a json file and create an function that goes through each ingredient available per recipe.

What we learned

We learned that scope is important and that the most important thing to finish is having a minimum viable product that can showcase the main feature of the app

What's next for Sustainable Recipes (Suscipe)

Looking for an API that gives us detailed instructions so that we can guide the user on how to make the recipe step-by-step. Improving our search algorithm to allow users to put in dietary restrictions.
