Inspiration 🌱 Sustainability can feel overwhelming, and no one knows where to start. We wanted to make eco-friendly living simple, engaging, and rewarding, inspiring people to take small, meaningful actions every day to help the environment slowly and surely! 🌍

What it does 🌊 DeepBlue is a personal sustainability coach that provides 10 AI-powered eco-tasks daily, guiding users toward a greener lifestyle. The app’s polluted water clears up in real-time as tasks are completed, visualizing their impact, while giving them the satisfaction of their hard work. 🌿

How we built it 💻 We used React.js with Vite to develop a website that opens to a login screen. The user can log in using Google authentication, implemented through Google Firebase. Once logged in, they see 10 tasks for the day generated by an AI API called GroqCloud. As tasks are completed, users select and mark them as done, and the polluted water in the app clears up, showing the satisfaction of their efforts. All tasks and user profiles are stored in a real-time database for instant updates. 🌐

Challenges we ran into ⚙️ As we were new to React.js, we struggled to ensure a smooth and intuitive user experience while making the front end modern and interactive. We also faced difficulties with ensuring the database updates correctly in real-time. 🔄

Accomplishments that we're proud of 🏆 We successfully implemented real-time water visualization, showing users the impact of their actions. We also found a way to make sustainability fun, engaging, and interactive. Additionally, we utilized AI to generate useful tasks that help guide users toward environmental sustainability. Our greatest accomplishment is building an app that encourages real-world action to heal the environment. 🌍💧

What we learned 📚 We learned how to work with React.js, as well as how to read through and use API documentation to integrate third-party services effectively. We also gained a deeper understanding of sustainability and how to encourage users to take action for the planet. 🌱

What's next for DeepBlue 🚀 We’re excited to take Deep Blue to the next level by enhancing the UI design for a more seamless and engaging experience. We’re also introducing a knowledge quiz to test users’ awareness of key environmental issues, helping them learn more about the challenges our planet faces. By educating users, we aim to spark a broader movement to spread awareness and inspire positive change. 🌎

🤝 We’re exploring partnerships with eco-conscious companies. Every time users complete a task, a company will contribute to planting a tree, amplifying the impact of their actions and supporting reforestation efforts. This collaborative effort will help create a cleaner, greener world. 🌳

By combining education, gamification, and corporate partnerships, we aim to foster both awareness and real-world action—because every small step counts in building a better tomorrow. 🌍🌱
