My Journey with the Sustainable Banking Emissions Analyzer

Inspiration

The urgent need to combat climate change inspired me to create the Sustainable Banking Emissions Analyzer. I wanted to bridge the gap between financial practices and ecological sustainability, empowering individuals to make eco-friendly choices.

What I Learned

Throughout this project, I learned about the intricacies of banking transactions and their environmental impact. I also gained a deeper understanding of data analysis and carbon footprint calculation.

How I Built It

I used a variety of technologies to build this project. The frontend was developed using JavaScript frameworks like React, while Python was used for server-side operations. I utilized SQL databases for data storage and Python libraries for data analysis. APIs were used to fetch necessary data, and Docker along with AWS were used for deployment.

Challenges I Faced

One of the main challenges was accurately calculating the carbon footprint of each transaction. This required a deep understanding of different industries and their environmental impact. Another challenge was designing an intuitive user interface that effectively communicates complex data to users.

This journey was filled with learning and growth, and I'm proud of what I've accomplished.
