Sustainability Stock

Inspiration

We got inspired by how we felt the project could help people. We all wanted to help those who do not understand about the affects of sustainability on stocks. Many times, it can be difficult for investors to understand what effects the performance of a company's stock. Our team also was inspired by the aspect of sustainability when it comes to investing. Each of us believe that it is important to analyze a company's environmental, social, and corporate governance impact on the world. These factors are important in determining the company's trustworthiness.

What it does

The project demonstrates the sustainability rating of any S&P 500 company. The sustainability rating was account by implementing ESG scores of each company into our program. This project will give investors a chance to look at the market before making any investment.

How we built it

We built the project using Taipy. Taipy made the process of connecting the front-end and back-end aspects of our project way more understandable. We also implemented an API that provided us with countless data about companies' ESG' scores.

Challenges we ran into

Since it was our first time hearing about Taipy, we decided to challenge ourselves by implementing Taipy in our project. We were able to succeed at the challenge that we gave ourselves.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud of what we are able to present which is the ESG rating. We feel accomplished because we did not know each other before the project. We were able to work on the project with great chemistry.
