Inspiration

In the modern world an emphasis on sustainability has become commonplace. Our team felt that creating a tool to promote investment in companies who are dedicated to sustainability and a bright future, would be beneficial to the community.

What it does

Our project provides a quick, intuitive interface that organizes and displays both standard and creative metrics of sustainability with respect to the fortune 500 companies. This tool is targeted toward financial analysts but our accessible interface can be used by just about anybody.

How we built it

The front end is built in vue.js, the backend is built with the flask framework supported by MongoDB.

Challenges we ran into

Due to the rising interest in sustainability, data related to such measures has become valuable. This made it difficult to acquire valid data sources, many useful api's for gathering such data have been deprecated and those that are left are limited in their capabilities.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

With the data our team was able to procure we were able to develop a robust full stack application. We are especially proud of our interface and data filtering capabilities.

What we learned

We obtained a deeper insight into the culture behind sustainable business growth, as well as the drawbacks and advantages that are inherent in various sustainability metrics. We also learned how to leverage chat GPT and MongoDB.
