Inspiration
The inspiration is from the current circumstance of our world. The pandemic has happened since 2019, and we've been using masks since then. However, the garbage generated by using these masks has increased substantially because masks have become part of our necessities. This inspired us as all people are using masks and the plastic wastes produced are skyrocketing each day, which would be a great topic to investigate as it is closely related to sustainability.
What it does
It is a site that allows people to visually explore how global warming is caused, its effects, and ways to mitigate global warming. It also has a few interactive simulations and creative designs to motivate people to look into this topic.
How we built it
We built it using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
Challenges we ran into
When we were building the site, we encounter numerous bugs and had to look through hundred lines of code to discover what's causing the site to not working. We were hesitating of how we should present our ideas to people and make this project developable in the future.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We presented the topic in an innovative way, with interactive pages and simulations to interest people in the first place, then tell them more about this crucial problem we were facing now. We fixed all bugs and our site were able to run without glitches.
What we learned
We learned more skills in using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. We also learned that we should schedule our time better, because we spent too much time embellishing the site, yet we could do much more coding and sharing the information about sustainability and global warming to the public.
