Inspiration
This project was inspired by the skills that we had learned from our previous project, where we realized that we could apply it to solve a different, more overarching problem.
What it does
This app allows the user to take a picture of their surrounding. Based on a machine learning model that was trained with 10,000 images, the app will then generate a "sustainability score," which is a percentage where lesser is less sustainable, greater is considered to be more sustainable. In theory, then the app would prompt the user into an AR section where virtual trees and other plants would be generated in order to increase the sustainability.
How we built it
We used Figma to create a frontend demonstration, and then used CoreML to build the machine learning model that helps the application generate sustainability scores.
