Inspiration
Moderators need tools that help them keep communities clean and manageable without adding risk or manual overhead. suspended-remove was built to make account cleanup more precise and less error-prone.
What it does
suspended-remove is a moderation utility that helps identify and remove suspended accounts from a workflow with a focus on precision and safety. It is designed as a practical tool for community maintenance and moderation hygiene.
How we built it
I built it as part of my broader Devvit app fleet, with a focus on moderation use cases, simple operational behavior, and reusable structure. The goal was to make the tool reliable, focused, and easy to understand.
Challenges we ran into
The main challenge was keeping the scope narrow enough to stay useful while still making the app feel distinct and meaningful. I also had to think carefully about how to present the app so it sounded clear rather than overly broad.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
I’m proud that this project turns a moderation pain point into a focused, purpose-built tool. It reflects the kind of practical automation that can actually save moderators time.
What we learned
I learned that even small moderation tools need a strong product story. A clear purpose matters just as much as the underlying logic.
What's next for suspended-remove
Next, I want to keep refining the app’s workflow and make it fit cleanly into a broader moderation toolkit.
