Inspiration
We wanted to combine the satisfying gameplay of color-sorting puzzles with a fun sushi theme and simple, accessible mechanics. As the main inspiration we took Coffee Mania project.
What it does
Sushi Sort: Color Sort Puzzle is a casual puzzle game where players sort colorful sushi into the correct groups. The game is easy to learn but becomes progressively more challenging.
How we built it
We designed the core gameplay, level progression, UI, and visual style, then developed and tested the game with a focus on smooth controls, clear feedback, and short satisfying gameplay sessions.
Challenges we ran into
Balancing the difficulty, creating engaging levels, and keeping the game simple while still providing enough variety were our main challenges.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We turned the initial concept into a playable product with a complete core gameplay loop, progression system, and polished presentation ready for release.
What we learned
We learned a lot about rapid game development, level design, gameplay balancing, and how small changes to mechanics can significantly affect the player experience.
What's next for Sushi Sort: Color Sort Puzzle
We plan to expand the number of levels, improve progression and monetization, add new gameplay elements, and continue testing the game with real players.
