Survival Island: Choose Your Adventure

Survival Island is a "choose your own adventure game" with two versions, one with a single linear storyline, and one with multiple storylines like a tree diagram. It was developed by Peyton Carroll, Justin He, Ishan Madan, and Michael Wang. Survival Island was developed for the Firebird Hacks hackathon (firebirdhacks.com) and uses front-end Web Development technologies and Java. This project took the duration of a 24-hr clock to develop. There is an online version (v1) and Java executable downloads (v1 and v2).

I converted the Java code into Javascript and HTML for the website. I also set up the layout and did most of the HTML in the website.

Ishan Madan
I wrote and improved the code by cleaning up and shortening the code, making it as error-free as possible (adding in limitations to the user's input), adding in features (pop-up dialog box), and contributing to the story board.

Justin He
This project spawned from one of my old beginner java projects. The story was birthed from my creative genius and the original code that was built upon was also mine. I helped add new choices and paths in this project.
