Inspiration: The Hackathon was my inspiration, I wanted to create something useful, but easy.
What it does: It calculates how long you will live based on multiple factors.
How I built it: I read 'Python For Kids' by Jason Briggs and attended the Python Workshop by Arya. I used Repl.it to create the program.
Challenges I ran into: I ran into many challenges. One of them was to get data on long list of countries. I looked up the list of countries and life expectancies from Wikipedia.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of: The program is able to calculate the life expectancies for 200 countries.
What I learned: How to make a Map in Python and take inputs in to variables and convert to integers.
What's next for Survey: Using Databases in Python to handle long maps/lists etc.. I want to add more factors and introduce probability.
Built With
- python
- repl
