Inspiration

We were all inspired by video games to make our own. The game is a little like frogger, but with a turtle. Beach hacks and CSULB’s mascots inspired us to make the game about turtles and sharks. It was a coincidence that the python library was also called turtle

What it does

It runs an obstacle avoidance game. The user controls a turtle in a sea of sharks. The front halves of the sharks will cause a game over, but the bottom-halves are safe. The sharks get faster every time they move across the screen.

How we built it

We used Python, Pycharm, and the Turtle library.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

This is mostly our first game. We learned Turtle just for this event. I like how we were able to get multiple obstacles and add a difficulty element.

Some challenges that we ran into were trying to make the game reset and the user is able to restart the game. Because of scope issues with python, we were not able to make a function to change a bool value that works with onkeypress. Because of this, you must exit the game to start again.
