Inspiration

To help high school students through Support My Club by increasing their reach via social media and reduce their manual work by automating certain aspects of their day to day work.

What it does

Automate the process of sending an email to the donor which is currently done manually.
Increase their donor base using social media like Facebook.
For existing donors, recommend relevant items to donate further.

Created by

Developed a Facebook Canvas app that allows user's to share a post on their wall. The app also uses user information to redirect them to their school on "support my club" in order to make donations

I wrote Python scripts to automate the emailing system. This included gathering data from different sources like WufooForms, Shopify, and Spreadsheets, compiling them into a Database(PostGres), and then extract relevant data to generate an HTML email and mail it to the Donors.
I also wrote scripts to automate the recommendation system that Swetha built for SMC. This included a UI with buttons which would generate recommendation emails with a click.
