Supply Chain Logistics -DAPP

Inspiration

Our team wanted to study and create effective case study for supply chain management to solve daily operational issues, multiple stakeholders transactions and save time and cost involved in logistics domain. Blockchain technology will assist in creating transparent and accurate end-to-end tracking in the supply chain, we can digitize physical assets , create decentralized immutable record of all transactions, making it possible to track assets from production to delivery or end user.

What it does

Logistic POC- logistics emphasizes on asset movement, meeting customer logistics needs and expectations, it focuses on the efficient and cost-effective delivery of goods to the customer. We're tracking the asset that is moving from supplier to consignee and it mainly falls under Logistics workflow.

How we built it

For asset monitoring and Tracking we've implemented Defi app in Blockchain. Blockchain helped in resolving problems such as improved efficiency. Blockchain allows tracking and recording of every change that takes place throughout the supply chain, using blockchain it minimizes threads and frauds too and it provides transparency between two parties by using smart contracts as blockchain data cannot be tampered. According to the World Economic Forum, the blockchain integration can help reduce the supply chain barriers and improve sales by almost 15%.

Challenges we ran into

Initially we had to train our team on HL Besu, there were some technical hiccups in setting up the cloud infrastructure mapping with BC nodes, we overcame this by doing some local installations and thereafter implemented on private BC network using minimum nodes with provision for scaling up in future.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Learning whole Logistic process and application work flow, implementing asset tracking feature into the blockchain, attempted to create real time tracking visibility using google maps, chat bot features, created our own NFT marketplace in the app which made executing the contractual obligations between the parties easier and seamless.

What we learned

Providing solutions for logistics domain using blockchain solution. Creating NFT based agreements, tokenization using centralized wallet. Overall we were successful in implementing end to end work flow between the stakeholders.

What's next for Supply Chain Logistics -DAPP

In next phase we'll include IoT connectivity with Blockchain for tracking of asset movements, providing detailed tracking between all the stakeholders, implementing end to end NFT based transactions, Token issuance and minting of NFTs for trade executions.
