What's next for Supply chain engagement, tracking and reduction

I got inspired by the supply chain projects I worked on during my internship. My project idea would help suppliers assess how much electricity they use , what stage what product and develop methods for installing on-site renewable energy or purchasing green power to supply this electricity. For example, while the production machinery goes on the real time data from the meters and the type of product being produced should be sent to the digital device of the supply chain. To avoid reliance on manual input, The devices can be used to detect that information. The model has intelligence such as the duration of the usage or when the electricity surplus will happen and with which production stage, the digital device in the supply chain can determine the right corrective action and support supply chain optimization by developing methods for installing on-site renewable energy or purchasing green power to supply this electricity. That way, switching back and forth between traditional energy and the renewable ones would be automated once the limit is reached.
