Intro

Aim

We wanted to do this app as food wastage has become a severe problem in Singapore and needs to be mitigated.

Why and who (who is the target audience and why should they be using this app)

The target audience will be the needy, who lack food and food diversity (as non-perishable canned food are usually donated). The target audience is also hotels or restaurants that have an excess of food after their service which is still edible but would normally be thrown out, resulting in food wastage

They should be using this app as the food would have gone to waste and by using this app, they help prevent that.

What and how

  • Finding locations (both using the map and the list of nearby locations)
  • 'Reserving' locations (Visiting), this is to allow the needy and hotels to gauge the number of servings left. AFter reserving, you will also see further instructions on how you should collect the food
  • Starring locations, to easily refer to your preferred locations.
  • Filtering by dietary requirements, eg. allergies, halal, vegetarian
  • (For hotels and restaurants) Editing information about the food and your business, collection information, and it allows you to upload pictures of the food
