A wellness app focused on improving sleep quality and promoting healthy daily habits through empathetic design, personalized tracking, and AI-driven suggestions. It helps people build sustainable routines through small, impactful actions that enhance their sleep, daily energy, and mental well-being.

Inspiration

After a long period of time searching for a winning project idea, we spent hours and failed to do so. It was very late at night as we were on call, still thinking of what to do, but as we were about to end our call, one of us made a sparkling comment on how we needed to fix our sleep schedules. As students, staying up all night trying to catch up on unfinished work almost seemed like a requirement to this lifestyle. Without hesitation, we were on the same page about a groundbreaking project idea. We wanted to build something to help students make sure that they can get the most out of their sleep, since sleep is one of many root causes of mental performance bottlenecks. However, most sleep improvement apps fail to give tangible advice as they are not fit for a user's lifestyle, demotivating the user to continue with their journey toward having healthier habits.

What it does

Smart dashboard with daily and weekly progress. Personalized habit tracking, fully editable with daily/weekly targets. Sleep insights: duration, efficiency, and consistency. Suggested habits based on user behavior. Goal pacing: Users can choose how fast they want to achieve their goals (fast, gradual, or custom). History and progress analysis through visuals. Simple leaderboard for family or friends to track shared progress. Customizable profile with key data and preferences.

How we built it

We are very proud to announce that SuperSleepAI wasn't built like most traditional AI-driven projects. It is a mixture of both a custom FNN model built and trained from scratch with no external resources, that communicates with Google's Gemini API to determine the right approach in getting our users toward a brighter path, making healthier, smarter decisions. We also understand the importance of motivation when it comes to committing some effort to anything, which is why we integrated a competitive system into each journey, allowing users to battle one another to be the Sleep King of the hill!

What makes it different?

Focus on the process, not just results. Uses AI in a helpful, non-intrusive way. Friendly, motivational tone—never punitive. Encourages daily consistency without overwhelming the user.

Young adults and adults who want to sleep better, build sustainable habits, or feel more balanced, without relying on complex or clinical tools.

Future Potential

Integration with smart devices. Shared challenges between users. Expansion into other wellness areas (nutrition, movement, stress management). SuperSleepAI turns small decisions into big results, making better sleep an achievable, motivating, and personalized habit.

Challenges we ran into

One of the biggest challenges we ran into was making sure that we had an application that could stand out from the rest of the sleep improvement apps that currently exist. We did our research and found that while many excel in data tracking, providing baseline suggestions, we were allowed to go beyond that and support users with everything they need to make a change for the better. There's no additional research needed with us; it's Grab N' Go.
