Inspiration
We are inspired by the waves in nature and the connections between people. The name _ Superposed _ is originated from superposition, the ability to be in multiple states at the same time until it is measured.
What it does
Superposed provides a safe, collaborative space for people around the world to connect without language barriers. Multiple people join the space from anywhere in the world to create a visual and audio landscape together.
How we built it
During the two days of development, our team utilized and modified the Normcore multiplayer drawing demo and combined it with the passthrough functionality of the Oculus Quest 2. Furthermore, we added generative sound to each stroke of the brush.
Challenges we ran into
When we first started the project, we attempted to use the Arctop band along with the MagicLeap. However, these two devices gave us a lot of trouble so we stopped using them. We then changed our project spec to fit the new device (Quest 2).
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are very proud of how we built such an amazing project within such a short time period.
What we learned
We learned the importance of team work and planning ahead. We also learned that version control can help us create a team project with less effort.
What's next for Superposed
The next step for us would be to further polish our current project and think about how it could benefit the world.
