Inspiration
I mainly found many notebooklm users find it annoying to manually paste content in their Notebooklm, and dont have access to a public directory of notebooks.
What it does
With my chrome extension, you can not only do that, you can also chat with the inbuilt chrome AI and ask about anything you learnt from notebooklm, organise your notebooks. we are in the works: adding ai agents and a nextjs website for a public directory of notebooks.
How we built it
Using WXT, IndexedDB Dexiejs - Convex Backend, BetterAuth Using all APIs: Prompt API, Summarizer API, Translation, Rewriter API
Challenges we ran into
Setting up a monorepo, which I probably didnt have to, but we can use it later incase I set up a MCP server in the future.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
Setting up my first proper nextjs website deployment but it is not ready yet. Just getting this far as a vibe coder. I used droid from Factory AI., Claude Code and the BMAD Method to do spec driven development.
What we learned
I learnt a lot about working with smaller Ai model such as this Gemini Nano. ( I think it is close or is the Gemma 3n model)
What's next for Supernotebooklm
Finishing Ai Agents and the Nextjs website for it.
