Inspiration
After seeing that Americans waste 40% of their food every year, we wanted to create a product that was easy to use and would allow people across the country to help reduce America's food waste.
What it does
SuperEats is a website connecting customers looking for a deal on their takeout or bulk food items. with restaurants who are looking to avoid food waste. Through our product customers can order perfectly good food for takeout or other wholesale items from restaurants that are near the end of their life and would have been thrown out had they not been bought.
How we built it
We built SuperEats by utilizing our knowledge of HTML and CSS.
Challenges we ran into
Some of the challenges we ran into were formatting our images correctly and creating a working navigation bar.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We're very proud that we figured out how to use the navigation bar and learnt how to use the CSS background-image property with proper formatting.
What we learned
We learnt a great deal of HTML and CSS, as well as how to work collaboratively in using git.
What's next for SuperEats
We hope to build out the back end of our website and add more restaurants to the SuperEats Platform.
