Inspiration
Many expositions, conferences and trade-shows are being cancelled. In a post Covid-19 world, we need to think about new ways to introduce new products to customers remotely
What it does
For car manufacturers (or any other product manufacturers) for instance, instead of the traditional method of using flyers to advertise your product to your potential customers, you could just provide them with a simple link (or QR code) which will lead to a direct realistic and interactive demo of the product on the their smartphone in Augmented Reality format.
For customers imagine attending a car show, (or any other product showcase) in addition to seeing the real physical products, you also get a virtual (augmented reality) version of the same product that you can take home with you and have access wherever you are, whenever you want.
This is what the future looks like.
We have created a demo of this concept in Augmented Reality.
The effect runs on mobile Facebook or Instagram without requiring any additional download. Many people on earth own a smartphone and most of them have Facebook and Instagram already installed.
How I built it
Using a combination of 3D, voice narration, animations, particles effects it is possible to build highly educational AR experiences that are, thanks to their small package sizes, immediately available for user to try and share to their social connections.
Challenges I ran into
Making it work for different type of smartphones.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
Quite realistic
What I learned
Code optimization
