The map screen for this game is represented by various locations in a dusty old comic book shop. Individual levels are selected by looking into the issues of the vidHero comic that you find laying around. Each comic issue offers panels explaining the level, story and relevant game mechanic(s). Once you start a level (by looking at the last panel long enough), you enter vidHero's suit and use its powers to execute the plot for that issue.
- parts of the comic book shop are only accessible with the use of certain peripherals, so that you can only access the levels of the game that you have the controls to handle. (you can only load levels that use gearVR alone. if you had a sixense device, you'd use it to open a door to an area that has special sixense levels)
- the core of gameplay revolves around tapping or swiping forward on your GearVR. You swipe up and down to change which mode (or "which part of the suit") you are in. So you are either: flying, touching your eyes, punching, hands on hips (to calm/impress people), or walking.
- you "fly" by teleporting forward repeatedly.
- the various levels/stories will be taken from larger vidHero universe of comics, which i've already been working on for several years. it's basically a darkly comedic vigilante story, wherein an aspiring actor uses advanced video technology to pursue cutting edge artifacts and help them reach the public. This super suit represents the characters transition from vigilante into super hero.
