Super Smash Bros
How it works
There are only four players for one game. Each player takes different position near four corners. The time for the game is 60 second. The creator of the room has the right to start the game by clicking the start button at the top left corner of the screen. Each player can move the ball to four direction on the board. When player move across the tile, the tile will be painted by the same color as the player’s color. Player can take over the opponent’s tiles. Also, player can push opponent off the board. The player who drop off the board will need to wait a few seconds before being respawned at the center of the board. When the timer reaches 0, the game will end and show the winner who has the most tiles on the board.
Challenges I ran into
Tuning physics behaviours, integrating multiplayer feature into the game, how to sync data between different clients, etc.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
The first online multiplayer game that I have ever made.
What I learned
I learned how to implement online feature to a game developed by using Unity.
What's next for Super Smash Balls
Improved game graphic and more scenes to have a complete game. Port to mobile platform.
