Inspiration

The game got a rerelease and so a lot of people are playing it. The coins are notoriously hard to find, so I wanted to make an app to make it easier.

What it does

Allows you to keep track of the blue coin collectable in SMS

How I built it

Android Studio with the language Kotlin

Challenges I ran into

My experience with XCode and Swift did not prepare me as much as I had hoped for my first android project, I ended up going from a plan of 7 screens to a simple 2 screen app

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

creating an android app that works and actually serves a purpose! it's much more simple than I anticipated but it works!

What I learned

I gained a ton of experience with android studio and kotlin!

What's next for Super Mario Sunshine Blue Coins Checklist App

I'm going to be developing this more and more until it's good enough to be useful to players. It's not far off! Then I'll try to get it on google play!
