“Sailing Away” is a parody of the Yacht Rock genre.
The funny thing is, Yacht Rock… never really existed. The term “Yacht Rock” was actually coined 30 years after the songs by Kenny Loggins, The Doobie Brothers, or Steely Dan. And those songs had nothing to do with the sea or yachts anyway (except maybe "Sailing" by Christopher Cross).
So as a tribute, I decided to make the first real Yacht Rock music video!
Since it’s a parody, I didn’t take it too seriously ;) But I still took the time to create each member of the band and tried to make sure they really felt like a group…
Even though you can clearly tell the singer has a little problem with his obsession for the saxophone ;)
