Inspiration
We wanted to recreate the magic of Ibiza’s golden-hour parties — that perfect blend of music, sunset, and social connection — inside Horizon Worlds. The Sunset Bar (VIP) brings together the energy of GO CLUBBING VR with a relaxed, open-air beach atmosphere designed for people to meet, dance, and connect from anywhere.
What it Does
The Sunset Bar (VIP) is a mobile-first Horizon World where avatars can gather on a virtual beachfront terrace, order drinks from an AI Bartender, and enjoy DJ mixes streamed directly from ClubMixed.com. With panoramic sunset lighting, ocean ambience, and an interactive social bar, it’s the ultimate destination for virtual nightlife and creative collaboration.
How We Built It
Adapted and optimised assets from the GO CLUBBING VR “Sunset Bar” Unity scene.
Imported and rebuilt geometry in Horizon Desktop Editor with Meta’s new Golden Hour Skybox and mobile lighting presets.
Integrated ClubMixed.com streaming API to deliver real DJ sets into the world’s Audio Gizmo.
Added conversational AI logic for the bartender (speech + serve gestures).
Designed the layout to maximise social visibility — open beach horizon, raised DJ booth, glowing bar counter.
Challenges We Ran Into
Limited NPC animation support meant creating creative illusions for bartending actions.
Balancing lighting quality with mobile performance required multiple test builds.
Syncing live audio streaming with Horizon’s constraints took careful adjustment.
Accomplishments We’re Proud Of
Delivered a fully immersive, theme-matched Ibiza venue within the Horizon ecosystem.
Achieved smooth performance on mobile with stable lighting and reflections.
Created an engaging social space that genuinely feels alive.
What We Learned
Optimisation and atmosphere are everything in mobile VR. A believable environment can be achieved with clever lighting, audio layering, and prop placement — even without complex animation. What’s Next
Future updates will bring dynamic events, DJ residencies, requests, speak to the DJ AI-branded drink activations (working with Meta ), and leader board-based meet-ups to keep players returning each week.
