Inspiration

-Experiment with solar-api and implementing maps. Inspired by the visual of a heat map that highlights potential hotspots.

What it does

-An eco-conscious web app that helps people find the perfect location to build sustainable homes by considering UV index data. -Our web application recommends ideal spots with consistent and high UV index. Building houses in areas with great solar energy potential allows us to be more sustainable, energy efficient, and cut costs.

How we built it

-Frontend: React.js -Backend: Express -APIs: google-maps, solar-api

-Researching APIs, Github, troubleshooting/debugging

What's next for Sunny Housing

-Future iterations include expanding the location beyond New York State, taking real-time weather into account, including more APIs such as housing prices of neighborhoods, and adding a chatbot that answers users' questions.
