Inspiration

What inspired me was that I couldn't find a similar software to this when I was preparing for SAT maths

What it does

Sumwise help students learn mathematics in a socratic way instead of AI giving them answers

How we built it

I built it personally using Typescript for the frontend and then the backend

Challenges we ran into

I ran into a lot of challenges initially I was hardcoding but then I had to integrate AI apis and then I also ran into the problem of fine tuning an AI model

Accomplishments that we're proud of

The AI software has been used by a lot of people and has got three feedback from twitter(X)

What we learned

I learnt a lot about the way people learn better which is more of asking questions.

What's next for Sumwise

Hopefully I could take this product and market it to schools
