Inspiration

I wanted to create a fun game for more than one person. I combined my passions of sumo wrestling and food to create a gaming experience like no other.

What it does

It challenges the player by deploying multiple obstacles for each player to avoid.

How I built it

I used my experience in java and multiple Greenfoot tutorials.

Challenges I ran into

I had my first encounter with lists which was a bit tricky to figure out. The most difficult task was getting each object to interact with only specific subclasses rather than every class inside the hierarchy.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

Creating a game that people actually fun. I'm also very proud of all I had to figure out and teach myself in order to complete my game.

What I learned

I learned how to use lists and gained a greater understanding on the interactions between separate classes/objects.

What's next for SumoSmash

I plan to continue improving the game by adding a system of lives and progressive levels. I also plan to add weapons each player can use rather than just food they can eat.
