Hello, this is Lokesh Karthik, I've built this amazing project that makes use of Ai to help students to be better in academics.

Inspiration

The inspiration behind this project would be my school days I would say. Would surf the web for hours to find the perfect content and check for facts to add to my assignment. This was my pain point so I've built this for others so they can be better with this tool.

What it does

This app helps with image generation tutoring to summarizing to solving the most complex problems too. I've built this project with precision so I could make this run without any errors. This app can generate images for your projects, tutor you on any subject, summarize any article, and even solve problems in PDF format. Our sample input was the GRE verbal section and it passed with flying colors.

How we built it

The tech stack is quite interesting and my favorite too. I've used Next.js for both the front and back ends. Used PostgreSQL for the database, used llama 3 model for quick generation of text content, and used stable diffusion for image generation. Also added authentication using clerk auth for security purposes.

Challenges we ran into

Challenges I've faced was the ideation phase most importantly, which all features to be added and things to ignore too. I've faced some issues with authentication, which was able to solve quickly. The next issue was with the LLM Api which didn't have much documentation so it was hard but did finally figured it out.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

I'm really proud that I've finished this app in a day. Yes, you heard me right It took me a day to complete. Discovered quite late that the summit hackathon exists so it was at the last moment I was able to build a web app.

What we learned

I've learned a lot about the use cases of this project, how It can used to further solve more problems too. Finally figured out LLM so it will be quite useful for my next projects too. I would take a moment to thank the hackathon organizers for helping me diminish my self-doubt of whether I could solve this and this was an absolute delight to build too.

What's next for Summit

The next is probably to add more UI to this so it could look better and integrate payment so not only students but other users can use it too. Should iterate this and hope it turns out better.
